The Zoning Officer is responsible for the enforcement of the Township Zoning Ordinance. Other responsibilities include the reviewing and issuing of all building permits and applications, and the processing of all special exceptions, variances, conditional uses and appeals to the Zoning Hearing Board.

The Zoning Officer also processes all subdivision and land development plans for review by the Township Planning Commission and handles the correspondence between the Township Planning Commission and the Lancaster County Planning Commission, which reviews all subdivisions and land development plans submitted to the Township.
