Rettew Mill Road Bridge

RETTEW MILL ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The new Rettew Mill Road Bridge was completed and opened to traffic in October of 2006.  The $1,500,000 project was completed using 80% Federal funds, 15% State funds and 5% Ephrata Township funds.  The new concrete bridge replaces a County owned covered bridge at this site.  Lancaster County has begun environmental and engineering work to acquire State permits necessary to reconstruct the covered bridge on Middle Creek Road in Ephrata Township.  Lancaster County has notified the Township that they anticipate the reconstruction of the covered bridge to begin in 2008.  If you have any questions regarding this project or other bridges located within the Township, please feel free to contact us.
